The inspiration for this piece is from my travels in Europe seeing many beautiful window flowers and vines growing on old walls. The combination of using fused glass and stained glass over the different layers of stone and marble describes the marvelous memories of those vines over stone walls.

The two Iris flowers, standing out elegantly in a pure, almost sacred, background conveys a sense of tranquility. The flowing lines within the background gives this a musical feel-almost like a theatrical backdrop. One is entranced by the background and butterflies whilst the flowers themselves stand erect and add a statuesque quality to the piece.

"Nature" Wall Hanging

This piece will be in the Mosaic Arts International 2009 exhibition to be held at The Museum of Man in San Diego from February 28 – April 26, 2009.

This is the scene of a waterfall with its creek running through the forest to merge into a river. Mosaic tiles over a piece of natural redwood, makes uses of unconventional, geometric and abstract patterns of one form on another.

"Foot's Dream"

Exhibition:
This piece was in the eMotion Pictures: An Exhibition of Orthopaedics in Art show at Moscone Center in San Francisco from March 5th through March 8th, 2008; and at the Chicago Cultural Center from April 17 to July 20, 2008.

The inspiration for this piece grew out of the artist’s recurring dreams of the beach during the two months in which she recovered from surgery on both feet. She saw herself strolling along the beach, healed by the soothing, smooth, wet sand and clear, blue water.
